My Center is Not in the Solar System: Tributes to Etel Adnan
About
A book of tributes to the late Etel Adnan, the Lebanese painter and poet, gathering essays on her life and work by friends, collaborators and admirers.
The texts take many forms, several of them experimental, and together they trace an artist whose work bore witness to the great upheavals of two centuries. Alongside them is a group of ink drawings Adnan made in the 1960s, which have not been seen before.
The writers include Eileen Myles, Lynne Tillman, Robert Wilson, Hans Ulrich Obrist, Anne Waldman, Gavin Bryars, Omar Berrada, Fawwaz Traboulsi, Isabella Hammad, Ariana Reines, Stuart Comer, and Joana Hadjithomas and Khalil Joreige.
MACK and Bidoun, 2026. 72 pages, paperback with jacket, 17 x 23 cm.
