Your 14-day right of withdrawal
When you buy from our web shop as a consumer, you have 14 days to withdraw from the purchase. You do not have to give a reason.
The 14 days start on the day you receive the goods. For pick-up in the shop, they start on the day you collect. If one order arrives in several parcels, they start when you receive the last parcel.
A gift card can be withdrawn within 14 days of the day we e-mail it to you, as long as it has not been used.
What is not covered
The right of withdrawal does not apply to newspapers, periodicals and magazines, except subscriptions. This follows from the Danish Consumer Contracts Act (forbrugeraftaleloven), section 18(2)(10).
Books are covered. This includes new, second-hand and rare books. Zines, art prints and objects are also covered.
Your rights for faulty goods apply to everything, magazines included. See "Faulty or wrong goods" below.
How to withdraw
Tell us before the 14 days have passed. Write to info@simonebooks.dk or send a letter to the address below. You may use the standard withdrawal form at the bottom of this page. You do not have to.
It is enough that you send your message before the 14 days have passed.
You can also withdraw online, on our page Withdraw from contract, which is linked at the bottom of every page of the web shop. If you use this online function, we send you an acknowledgement of receipt by e-mail without undue delay, including the content of your withdrawal and the date and time you submitted it.
Refusing a parcel, or not collecting it, does not count as withdrawing. You must tell us.
Sending the goods back
Send the goods back no later than 14 days after you told us that you withdraw. You pay the cost of sending them back.

You can also bring the goods to the shop at Vester Voldgade 106 in opening hours.
Pack the goods well. Keep your proof of postage. Until the goods reach us, you carry the risk if they are lost or damaged on the way.
Condition of returned goods
You may look at the goods as you would in a shop. If you handle them more than that, and they lose value as a result, we may deduct that loss from your refund.
A second-hand or rare item is checked against the condition stated on its product page when you bought it.
Refunds
We refund the price of the goods within 14 days of the day we receive your message that you withdraw.
If you withdraw from the whole order, we also refund the delivery charge you paid, up to the price of the cheapest standard delivery we offered for that order. Example: you paid 69 kr for home delivery on a 400 kr order. We refund 45 kr.
We may wait with the refund until the goods are back with us, or until you have shown that you have sent them. Whichever comes first applies.
We refund to the payment method you used. A payment made with a gift card is refunded to the gift card. There is no fee for the refund.
Faulty or wrong goods
You have the rights of the Danish Sale of Goods Act (købeloven). You can complain about a fault for 2 years from delivery. You must complain within a reasonable time after you discover the fault. A complaint within 2 months of discovering it is always in time.
A fault is, for example, missing pages, misbound pages, a printing error, damage in transport, or an item that does not match its description.
Second-hand and rare items are judged against their age and the condition stated on the product page. Wear that is described, or that is normal for the stated condition, is not a fault.
If we sent the wrong item, or the item is faulty, we pay the return postage. We then repair, replace or refund, as the law requires. With a single copy, a replacement is often not possible. We then refund in full.
