Interview — Issue 567: Madonna

Issue 567 of Interview, the Summer 2026 number, with Madonna on the cover. It is her eleventh Interview cover, more than any other star.

Nadia Lee Cohen photographed her late at night on the outskirts of London, as a blonde character Madonna calls Dee Dee. Mel Ottenberg, the editor-in-chief, styled the shoot and did the interview himself at her London home the next afternoon. They talk about her new album, Confessions on a Dance Floor: Part II, made with Stuart Price as a sequel to the 2005 record.

Also in the issue: Jack Schlossberg and Johnny Knoxville. It is the last issue with Jack Vhay as art director.

Interview was founded by Andy Warhol, and the present editors have turned it back towards the celebrity focus it began with. The magazine is printed on rough newsprint in a tall format, with shoots run across whole pages.
