Ann Demeulemeester — PRINT
About
Ann Demeulemeester, PRINT, Hannibal Books
The show invitations, prints and printed shirts that made Ann Demeulemeester's signature.
For almost thirty years her shows came with printed invitations, and her clothes with prints of their own. This book collects that paper and cloth. Her son Victor Robyn put it together, designed it and photographed the material himself. Eugene Rabkin wrote the foreword.
Demeulemeester started her label in 1985 with Patrick Robyn, her partner in life and in work, and left it in 2014. Since then she has made sculpture, ceramics and design.
The book comes out as MoMu, the fashion museum in Antwerp, marks forty years of the Antwerp Six with an exhibition that runs until 17 January 2027. Demeulemeester was one of the six. There is also a limited edition that includes an original invitation from her spring summer 1988 show.
The first book on her work in a long time.
