Martino Gamper — Hook Book: Almost 1000
About
A thick, small-format book of hooks by Martino Gamper, with a title that puts the count at almost a thousand.
Hooks keep coming back in Gamper's work. His London studio hand-finishes and sells its own, and his exhibition Hookaloti at Michael Lett in Auckland filled the gallery with hundreds of them, made in glass, ceramic, wood, recycled plastic, forged steel and cast aluminium with friends' workshops and craft studios around New Zealand.
Gamper edited the book with Kajsa of Åbäke, who also designed it, and Deborah Levy contributes a text. Die Keure printed it on a large number of different coloured papers.
Dent-De-Leone, 2024. 544 pages, softcover, 11.5 x 19 cm. First edition of 5,000 copies. In English.
