Number 47 in Hato Press's zine series: Sharna Osborne photographs Sinéad O'Dwyer's autumn/winter 2024 collection, Supervisor.
Osborne works with a VHS camera and then alters the pictures digitally, and their low-resolution grain brings something of the 1990s to O'Dwyer's clothes. It is the first time her photographs have been printed in risograph.
O'Dwyer, who is from Ireland, completed the Fashion MA at the Royal College of Art in 2018. There she experimented with body casting in place of the usual small sample-size fit model, and her label is now known for clothes cut for bodies beyond sample sizes. Eleven models appear in the zine, with styling by Ai Kamoshita, casting by Emma Matell and illustration by Christa Jarrold.
