Yung Lean — 256GB

Yung Lean, 256GB, InOtherWords, 2025

574 photographs from the singer's own camera roll, sorted not by date but by colour.

Jonatan Leandoer Håstad has been Yung Lean since he was 16, when a bedroom video called Ginseng Strip 2002 travelled from Stockholm to everywhere. This is his first book. The pictures come from four phones, an iPhone 6, an 8, an X and an SE, and run from 2014 to 2024: ten years of touring, painting and recording.

The timeline is gone. Nine chapters run by colour: red, orange, yellow, green, blue, purple, pink, black and white. At the back an index gives every picture a flat little title, like Me and Mum or Dead Fish.

OK-RM designed it with Suzie&Leo, the Paris duo behind his My Agenda video. It was bound in Cava de' Tirreni in southern Italy by Legatoria Industriale Artigianale, binders who draw on five hundred years of bible making there. The cover is red foil type on a mottled green. Collater.al called it "a postmodern bible".

A phone dump treated like a classical volume. It works.
