Pierre Leguillon — The Museum of Mistakes
About
Pierre Leguillon, The Museum of Mistakes, Edition Patrick Frey, 2020
A museum with no building: postcards, record sleeves, fabrics and children's drawings, stored mostly in the artist's kitchen cupboards.
Leguillon founded the Musée des Erreurs in Brussels in 2013 and tours it like a travelling circus. This book gathers a wide selection of its cheap, serially produced objects, plus his street photography, with freestyle captions by Carrie Pilto and essays by Patricia Falguières and Morad Montazami.
A funny, patient argument against how museums behave.
244 pages, hardcover, 162 images.
