Armin Tehrani — Sicily

The first photobook by Armin Tehrani, who was born in Canada and now lives in Copenhagen, where he works as a photographer and as an art director.

The pictures come from several trips Tehrani made to Sicily between 2022 and 2025. The book sits somewhere between a travel diary and a mood board, paying attention to small, quiet moments and the ordinary, well-used places of daily life on the island. Tehrani shoots mainly on film and takes his subjects from travel and from meeting people. Vogue, Elle, Kinfolk, The Wall Street Journal and The New York Times have all published his photographs.

The book was edited by Molly Mandell and James Burke, with creative direction by Mario Depicolzuane, art direction by Direction Bureaux and design by Studio8585. It is offset-printed in full colour on Munken Pure paper and stitch-bound in hardcover, with a foiled Takeo Satogami cover and a photograph inset on the back. It was made in Europe.
