MilK Decoration — Issue 62
About
Issue 62 of MilK Decoration, the French interiors magazine, made in the run-up to the Salone del Mobile and Milan Design Week and given over largely to design and the people who make it.
The London-based Canadian industrial designer Philippe Malouin is on the cover. The editors present him as a maker of carefully resolved objects intended to last, among them a moka pot for Alessi and a table lamp for Flos.
Elsewhere, the issue visits Boccamonte, the 1960s modernist house at Montemarcello in Liguria designed by the Milanese architect Luisa Castiglioni. Her granddaughter Maddalena Scarzella and the designer Matteo Petrucci now use it to reissue archive pieces and develop new work. It also looks at Gennaro Leone's gallery Spazio Leone, newly installed in a former Victorian textile mill on Shacklewell Lane in London, includes an interview on the Murano glass Corolle lamps made for Dior Maison since 2019, and covers the Catalan painter and sculptor Ramón Enrich.
