HÅNDVÆRK — Issue 14: Master and Apprentice

The English edition of issue 14 of HÅNDVÆRK, the Danish bookazine on craft and design that Rigetta Klint publishes twice a year.

This issue's theme is master and apprentice. It is made up of double portraits, each pairing an experienced maker with someone learning the trade from them, and it also looks at a number of masterworks and the people who made them.

Among the workshops and people featured are the Swedish glassworks Kosta Boda and Skrufs Glasbruk, Glasbolaget, Filtværket, Bobel Studio, Them Objects, Svinkløv Badehotel, the Royal Danish Academy and Copenhagen's hotel and restaurant school, along with makers such as Chris Liljenberg Halstrøm, Karin Carlander and Anna Søgaard. The issue also includes a conversation with Rasmus Bjørn Alderson, who worked for several years as a travelling journeyman. Photographs by Rigetta Klint, cover artwork by Berit Winsnes.
