Plates — Issue 2

The second printed issue of Plates, a food magazine from Denmark, made up of eight conversations.

Each of the eight people interviewed works somewhere between food, design and fashion. The cover names them: David Zilber, Zélikha Dinga, Ellie Bouhadana, Bernardo Costantino, Max Rocha, Monika Varšavskaja, Kasia Sznajder and Julia Khan. The talks turn to cooking and curating, the urge to explore, old cookbooks and the private spaces people make, and the issue is dedicated to the habit of sitting down at a table together.

Plates was founded by Frederik Gregersen, its creative director, as an online journal of interviews with people working in food, with a printed issue once a year. This issue was published in 2026 in a first edition of 600 copies.
