Paw Gissel — Bloom

A book of Paw Gissel's photographs from many years of trips made with the Danish coffee roaster La Cabra.

Gissel is an artist who works from both Copenhagen and New York, in photography and sculpture as well as in recording culture. Since the company's first years he has had a large hand in how La Cabra presents itself visually.

The project started as a record of La Cabra's sourcing trips and widened over time into a portrait of farms, countryside, towns and ordinary life in Africa and in Central and South America. The pictures stay with people at their work, the places around them, surface textures and small moments that are easily missed. La Cabra's founder, Esben Piper, contributes a foreword.
