HOLIDAY International Interiors and Gardens Review — Season 001
About
The first issue of Holiday's review of interiors and gardens, a spin-off from the Paris magazine that looks at rooms, gardens and objects instead of destinations.
Holiday was founded in the United States in 1946 and has been made in France since 2014. This new title, published for Autumn/Winter 2025-26, keeps the parent magazine's mix of literary writing and art photography, and treats decorating a home as a kind of travel through periods, styles and cultures. The publisher's introduction gives as examples rooms that Balthus and Cy Twombly designed, Francis Bacon's furniture and Dante Ferretti's film sets for Pasolini and Scorsese.
The issue came out with three covers: a bedroom photographed by Federico Torra, Castle Drogo photographed by Rich Stapleton, and a dried teasel by Harry Crowder. The teasel is the cover pictured here.
Holiday, 2025. 180 pages, 27.5 x 34 cm. In English.
