DUST — Issue 29
About
Issue 29 of DUST, the Berlin fashion biannual, published for Spring/Summer 2026 under the title Overload.
Luigi Vitali, who edits the magazine with Luca Guarini, opens with a long editor's letter on algorithms taking over from the people who once decided what culture got seen, and on what that means for making a magazine now. The design follows from the argument: every image inside carries the DUST logo and is treated as a cover, so the usual order of front and inside pages falls away. Emanuela Amato is art director.
Dries Van Noten talks about the next stage of his life in Venice after stepping down, and an excerpt from Torn: Fashion and Postmodernism, the forthcoming book by Eugene Rabkin of StyleZeitgeist, reads Virgil Abloh as a natural outcome of fashion's postmodern period. Laudomia Pucci discusses rethinking a legacy through craft passed between generations, and Mikkel Lind Sorgenfrey takes up the question of authenticity in cinema at a time of AI-generated faces. Shoots include Pedro Almodóvar, Mariacarla Boscono and Isabella Ferrari.
The issue was printed with a range of different covers, among them a Juergen Teller portfolio and Mariacarla Boscono photographed by Guen Fiore.
