About

The sixtieth issue of RECORD, the photographic journal Daido Moriyama has kept going, on and off, since 1972.

Moriyama began RECORD as a self-published magazine in July 1972 and brought out five issues before it stopped in 1973. It started again in 2006, and the current issues are published by Akio Nagasawa Publishing. Over the years its pages have taken in pictures from abroad as well as from Japan.

The publisher prints part of Moriyama's afterword to this issue. In it he writes that most of the photographs he takes have found their way into RECORD, now at its sixtieth number, so that it may be better read as his ID than as a record. He also says he means to keep photographing tomorrow and the day after.

Akio Nagasawa Publishing, 2025. 120 pages, softcover, 21 x 28 cm.
