Delivery
Do you ship outside Denmark?
No. We deliver only to addresses and parcel shops in Denmark. You can also collect your order in the shop.
How much is delivery?
We send parcels with GLS and PostNord.
- Parcel shop: 45 kr
- Home delivery: 69 kr
- Parcel shop on orders of 700 kr or more: free
- Pick-up in the shop, Vester Voldgade 106: free
Pick-up in the shop is free on every order. Free delivery on orders of 700 kr or more applies to parcel shop delivery only. The details are in our shipping policy.
Can I collect an online order in the shop?
Yes, and it is free. Choose pick-up in the shop at checkout. Your order is usually ready in 2 hours during opening hours, and we e-mail you when it is ready.
Bring your confirmation e-mail when you come to collect your order at Vester Voldgade 106, st. tv., 1552 Copenhagen V. Our opening hours are listed under Visiting the shop below.
Returns
Can I return a book?
Yes. You have 14 days from the day you receive your order to change your mind. This also applies to online orders you collect in the shop. The 14 days then run from the day you collect the order. Tell us within those 14 days by writing to info@simonebooks.dk. An e-mail is enough.
Send the book back within 14 days of telling us, at your own cost, to Simone Book Services (Simone ApS), Vester Voldgade 106, st. tv., 1552 Copenhagen V. You may look through a book as you would in a shop. If it has been handled beyond that, we may deduct the loss in value from your refund.
We refund the price and your original delivery charge, up to the cost of our cheapest delivery option, within 14 days of your message. We may wait until the book is back with us or you have shown proof of postage. Second-hand copies can be returned on the same terms. Full details are in our refund policy.
Can I return a magazine?
Not because you have changed your mind. Under section 18(2)(10) of the Danish Consumer Contracts Act, newspapers, periodicals and magazines are exempt from the 14-day right of withdrawal, except for subscriptions.
We give zines the same 14-day right of withdrawal as books.
If a magazine arrives faulty or damaged, you can still make a complaint, as described below.
What if something arrives damaged or faulty?
Write to info@simonebooks.dk. Under the Danish Sale of Goods Act you have 24 months to complain about a defect, such as a misprint, missing pages or damage in transit. A complaint made within two months of finding the defect is always in time. Depending on the case, we exchange, repair or refund the item, and for a justified complaint we refund reasonable return postage.
For second-hand copies, the stated condition and ordinary wear are taken into account.
Books
What do "new" and "second hand" mean?
Every book we sell is one or the other. New means unused, and that includes unused older stock, some of which is out of print. Second hand means a used copy. All second-hand copies are listed under Rare.
A book is sold out. Will it come back?
Sometimes, but we cannot promise it, especially for second-hand and rare copies. Sold-out titles stay on the site, marked as sold out, after the titles that are available.
On the page of a sold-out title you can leave your e-mail address, and we write to you if another copy comes in. We use the address only for that. You can also ask about any title at info@simonebooks.dk.
Can I reserve a book?
No, we do not reserve books. Instead, you can buy the book online and collect it in the shop for free.
Do you buy books?
Yes. We buy books and collections. E-mail photos and a list of the books to info@simonebooks.dk.
Gift cards
Do you sell gift cards?
Yes. Gift cards can be bought online in 100, 250, 500 and 1,000 kr.
How long is a gift card valid, and where can I use it?
A gift card is valid for three years. You can use it online and in the shop.

When are you open?
- Tuesday–Friday: 11:00–17:30
- Saturday–Sunday: 11:00–16:00

Is there a step at the entrance?
Yes, there is a step at the entrance. If that is difficult for you, we are happy to serve you outside.
How can I pay in the shop?
In the shop you can pay by card or with a gift card. For online orders, the payment methods are shown at checkout.
