Alongside the built work they produced a substantial body of theory, and they helped loosen the grip of classical modernism on Swiss architecture.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe book opens the STUDIOLO \/ Edition Patrick Frey series, a joint undertaking of the publisher and STUDIOLO, the Zurich exhibition space of Fredi Fischli and Niels Olsen, who also edited the volume. It grew out of \u003cem\u003eThe Log-O-Rhythmic Slide Rule\u003c\/em\u003e, the show they devoted to the couple in spring 2012. Illustrations sit beside essays, artists' texts and a discussion, with contributions from Liam Gillick, Karl Holmqvist and Gabrielle Schaad.
